Where Klaros sits

A category of one

Every WhatsApp tool makes a trade-off. Plot the market on two axes — who hosts it, and how much real product sits on top — and one quadrant is almost empty. It's ours.

WhatsApp platform positioning map Two axes: vendor-hosted SaaS to self-hosted (horizontal) and thin API-only to rich product with team inbox (vertical). Official tools in blue, unofficial ban-risk tools in red, and Klaros highlighted in green in the self-hosted plus rich quadrant where every other player is unofficial. ↑ rich product + team inbox thin · API only ↓ ← vendor-hosted (SaaS) self-hosted (you own it) → SaaS BSPs · 15–25% markup Interakt · Wati · AiSensy Respond.io · Gallabox open-source · unofficial Evolution · WAHA · MultiWA ban risk: weeks, not years Klaros official · self-hosted · 0% CPaaS / API-first Twilio · Infobip · Bird official, but thin 360dialog · Receevi no CRM / cost view Klaros official · safe unofficial · ban risk

Self-hosted & feature-rich — but unofficial

Evolution, WAHA, MultiWA and Whatomate give you self-hosting and even a flow builder, but run on the unofficial WhatsApp-Web protocol — accounts typically last weeks before a ban.

Official & self-hosted — but thin

360dialog and Receevi are official and low- or zero-markup, but they're a bare API: no team inbox, no consent ledger, no live cost view. You bring your own product layer.

Official & polished — but rented

Interakt, Wati, AiSensy and Respond.io are slick, but they're SaaS: a 15–25% messaging markup on every send, and your customers' data lives in their cloud, not yours.

Klaros keeps all five

Official Cloud API, self-hosted, zero markup, your data on your infrastructure, and a real product — team inbox, consent ledger, and a live Meta-cost dashboard. No one else holds all five.

What does "self-hosted" mean?

Klaros runs on your own Cloudflare account — not in our cloud. Your contacts, conversations, and media stay in infrastructure you control. You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account and pay Meta directly for messaging. If you ever stop using Klaros, your data stays with you — full export, no lock-in. We handle the software; you own everything else.

You always own your WhatsApp Business Account and pay Meta directly for messaging — Klaros never marks up your sends. License billed annually per deployment, exclusive of applicable taxes.
